The alert reached the team channel, but whose turn is it right now?
A shared channel means everyone sees it and nobody necessarily acts. With a schedule, the person on call at that moment is told personally, on top of the team channels.

How a schedule is built
Rotation members
You set the order; the rotation advances steadily from the start time.
Shift length
Daily, weekly, or a custom interval in minutes.
A destination per person
Each member gets their own destination — email, Telegram, Bale, SMS or any other channel — and a shift will not save without one.
What you end up needing in practice
Temporary overrides
For leave or a swap, a fixed window with its own destination takes precedence over the rotation.
Shift-start notice
When the handover happens, only the incoming person gets an email.
A two-week view
The dashboard shows who is on call now and whose turn falls where over the next fortnight.
Team channels stay on
On-call does not replace the team channels; it is added to them.
Where this stops
No multi-step escalation
If the person on call does not respond, the alert is not automatically passed to the next one.
No acknowledgement
There is no "I've seen it, I'm on it" button yet.
From the Pro plan
Creating and editing schedules is a Pro feature; viewing the on-call board is open to every member.
